Propulsion Valve Update

The test parts for the CubeSat propulsion valve have arrived and so far everything is looking very promising.

I still need to wind the magnet wire to create the solenoid portion of the valve but I did do a quick test to see the effectiveness of the seal with water. I simply placed the plunger in place and pressed down with my finger to simulate the spring and I was able to easily stop water from flowing through the part. With that I might even be able to reduce the strength of the spring.

For future additions I would want to make for actual flight valves if a way to hold the Teflon in place so that I can ensure that it won't move around during operation. But for a test valve having one that is removable is the better option.

More posts will come when I finish creating the coil and begin testing and finding the valves properties.
